SOCIAL COMMUNITY MANAGER
We are excited to announce an opening for a creative and dynamic Social Community Manager to join our team for the European Gay Ski Week, a celebrated annual event with a legacy spanning 17 years, is seeking a dynamic Social Community Manager. European Gay Ski Week is the biggest Gay Ski Week to take place in Europe and the only roaming gay ski week in the world.
If you embody a gay-friendly, outgoing demeanour, possess a passion for events, travel and winter sports, and boast an in-depth understanding of the LGBTQI+ community, along with exceptional passion for social media and the newest trends, this role may be tailor-made for you.
The Role: It is designed for someone who excels in online engagement and is passionate about creating a vibrant and inclusive digital community.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to promote European Gay Ski Week internationally across all major platforms.
- Create, curate, and manage engaging content that resonates with our diverse audience.
- Monitor social media channels, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and positive manner.
- Foster an online community by encouraging interaction, discussion, and engagement among followers.
- Analyze social media metrics to assess the success of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with the marketing and event teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
- Coordinate live social media coverage during events, including live-tweeting, Instagram stories, and Facebook live sessions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to keep our strategies fresh and effective.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in social media management, community management, or a similar role.
- Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to create compelling content, including editing video’s and artwork creation.
- Proficiency in using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc.) and social media management tools.
- Fluency in French and English is essential; additional languages are a plus.
- Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and design.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret social media metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Passion for fostering inclusive and welcoming online communities.

Are you a creative storyteller, social media fanatic, and always looking for new ways to create content? Then this internship at European Gay Ski Week is for you! As a marketing & content creator, you will contribute to the branding and promotion of our festival. From TikToks to blogs, from advertisements to newsletters, your creative touch will make all the difference.

SNOW HOST - VOLUNTEER
A week of free skiing in the world’s Largest Ski Domain. This is probably the best volunteer role offered by European Gay Ski Week, it is suitable for Expert skiers and Boarders only. This role will guarantee you between 4 and 7 hours skiing every day across the whole of the 3 Vallées Domain. It is great fun, and we guarantee some great memories.
The Ski Host Role is all about being social
You are the group leader and you will be taking 14 EGSW Clients in your group. You will be in charge of taking them around the mountain from 10h00 to 14h00 on Sunday and Monday , Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with either Wednesday or Thursday from 10h00 – 16h00
Big bonus, you and your group get to use the ski school jump queue entrance for the ski lifts as to make things legal, you will be accompanied by a qualified Prosneige ski instructor. You can use your instructor as backstop to ensure that you do not loose anyone or you can ask them to lead. This is your choice. Between you and your instructor you must ensure you arrive at the designated lunchtime meeting point at 14h00 each day.

Your Role
- Snow Hosts should:
- Arrive in Val Thorens on or before 19h30 on Friday 20st March 2026.
- Attend the Snow Host / Crew dinner at 20h30 on Friday 20st March 2026.
- Be available to help at arrivals check-in and Groups reception from 09h00 to 24h00 on the first Saturday. A schedule will be provided by EGSW on Friday evening at the Snow Host Dinner to the snow hosts showing who is expected to be helping, at what times and at which desk during the first Saturday.
- Attend the Snow Host briefing at 09:30 on the first Saturday of European Gay Ski Week
- Act as a Snow Host on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
- Meet at the Hosted Groups meeting point at 09:00 on Sunday and at 09:45 on all other mornings
- Act as an ambassador and represent EGSW in a positive and professional manner.
- All year round, promote EGSW using social media, specifically, hosts should share all EGSW Facebook posts, and encourage friends to do the same.
- iv) Make sure group is informed about the plans for the day, specifically tell them about coffee stop venue and lunch venue in case they get lost.
- v) Ski/board with their group - make sure that you have means of contacting group (WhatsApp or similar)

MOUNTAIN HOST - VOLUNTEER
We’re heading back to Val Thorens for another unforgettable European Gay Ski Week, and we’re looking for Mountain Hosts to help us make this year the best one yet! If you’re a confident skier and love the mountains, this role is perfect for you. Expect tons of fun, great memories, and new friends!
What’s in it for you?

Your Role:
As a Mountain Host, you’ll be stationed at different mountain restaurants from 11:30 – 15:00 (Sunday to Friday), helping with guest questions and making sure everything runs smoothly. And yes, you'll get to ski every day – 4.5 hours of skiing from 09:00 – 11:30 and 15:00 – 17:00. Make sure you’re comfortable skiing in all weather conditions!
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Hosting at our lunchtime meeting points at mountain restaurants
- Assisting with arrivals and welcome receptions
- Representing EGSW at various events and around the mountain
- Helping with token sales (you’ll handle cash/card payments and keep track of your own float)
- Breakfast & Dinner shifts at La Grange – alternating between breakfast and dinner services
Saturday Arrivals Day & Departure Day:
- Arrivals Day (Saturday, 21nd March): Full-day shift from 08:30 to 00:00
- Departure Day (Saturday, 28th March): From 08:00 to 18:00, helping with guest departures
Who We’re Looking For:
- Fluent in French & English
- Great communication skills and a love for helping people
- Confident skier (able to reach mountain restaurants in any weather)
- Experience in customer service or hospitality
- Reliable, organised, and able to stay calm under pressure
Important Dates:
- Arrival: March 20th by 6pm (we start work on the 21st)
- Departure: March 31st (event ends on the 28th, with breakdown on the 30th)
