Fine Dining

There are five fine gastronomique restaurants in Tignes including two run by Michelin starred chef Jean Michel Bouvier. These restaurants always require advance booking and sometimes can be quite difficult to get into. We will have a table for a maximum of twelve people held in each of these restaurants.

The European Gay Ski Week's very own foodie, the multi-lingual racounteur Pol Furguson Thompson, ex producer and presenter of numerous cooking programmes for the BBC and other channels in the UK, will be hosting small dinner parties in a different one of these restaurants each evening at 19.30.

The evenings of the week and the menu's are yet to be confirmed. We anticipate this being information being available by beginning of December at which point they will be posted on our site.

This option will be bookable once this information has been posted.

Below are various website reviews for the restaurants we have selected.
Le Caveau La Table en Montagne

A highly recommended French restaurant, Stylish and atmospheric, considered by many as one of the best restaurant in Tignes. The food is of a very high standard with a wide choice including several Thai dishes. The specials are usually something interesting such as pigeon or an unusual take on a fish dish. Those on the lookout for a gastronomic experience will be sure to find it here.

Presiding over ‘La Table en Montagne’ is Michelin-starred chef Jean-Michel Bouvier, a native of Savoie with a longstanding passion for Tignes. In 2008 when he opened La table en montagne - Chef Bouvier found an opportunity to express his talent as a cooking composer. he had carte blanche to reinvent chic and rustic gastronomy. Quite simply, bread is cut on a board placed directly on the table and you are invited to enjoy foie gras chicken stock with grated truffle “in the simplest way in the world”
L'Arbina Le Clin d'oeil
On its first floor this unpretentious two-star hotel has a dining room and wine list that one would be lucky to find in a good four-star property. A gastronomic experience, with specialities including rognons de veau and coquilles St Jacques. Pat the patron is very passionate about his wines — especially those from the Rhone valley - and has many interesting unlisted bottles he is happy to serve to those whom he feels will appreciate them. This is one of Tignes' premier restaurants, with an elaborate and frequently changing menu and an imtimate, typically French interior. There are two set menus to choose from offering you the chance to sample a combination of haute cuisine and an extensive wine list.
Chalet Bouvier Lunch in the Cheese room of the Folie Douce
The Chalet Bouvier restaurant created by the chef Jean-Michel Bouvier offers you a sophisticated mountain atmosphere and culinary experience. The restaurant with its open plan kitchen delights all diners and the chef Jean-Michel Bouvier, has created two menus with five or six courses each. Detail to be entered when available
