Solo travellers information and accommodation options


We know it ain't easy to travel solo – how to join in, who to chum up to, who to ski with, who to drag back – but we also know how to make it easy for anyone wishing to come to the European Gay Ski Week by themselves.

Our EGSW is made to make you mingle. We don't do cliques. Though we know you're principally here for the snow we also know you're coming to be take part in one of the best winter gay parties on the planet and we are determined to make it enjoyable for people who book solo.

During the days, our guided ski groups take different abilities for a jolly day out as does the ski school and being with the same people each day is one sure way to get to know each other.

Our hotels are providing exclusive tables for solo travellers at breakfast and at dinner. You will be given the table number to use or not, as you wish, and they will simply have a Reserved notice on them.

On the same basis there will be a reserved table for those on our breakfast option and also one at dinner for those on our half board option. And we will do the same for the raclette and fondue evenings as we are aware that many solo travellers have been reluctant to book previously.

The accommodation options available for the single traveller, are as follows:-

Solo travelers - shared  studio (includes lift pass, event pass & accommodation)

As a solo traveller, Once you have booked this offer you will be allocated a place in an apartment sharing with between three and seven other people, who most likley will have booked this offer on thier own as well. If after you have booked you have a friend or friends who want to come, all your friend(s) need to do is to quote your booking reference in the box provided and we will allocate them a place in the same apartment as you.  If more friends of the occupants apply to share an apartment than there is a capacity for in the apartment, then the sharing places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Random Room mates shared twin rooms in a 3 Star  hotel

 

If you want to stay in a hotel but the budget does not stretch to a private room this facility is for you. You can book a single bed in a twin room in the EGSW principal privatised hotel, The Pic Blanc paying only half the price of the room. We cannot promise that you will get on with your Roomie but, with an optimistic outlook, you may make a new friend and enjoy all the facilities our principal hotel. Should one of your friends then decide to join you on the European Gay Ski Week, you can still stay with them, all they will need to do is book using the Random Room Mates facility but enter in your booking reference when they make thier booking and you will be put in a twin room together.
